Tracbel and Metso start a partnership to attend the market of aggregates and construction—including maintenance services and parts supply—in five Brazilian states

Metso—leader in supplying solutions for aggregate production—and Tracbel—expert in distribution, aftersales and service in machines and heavy equipment—closed an exclusive deal.

With this partnership, officially disclosed at Belo Horizonte (MG) in the beginning of May, Tracbel passes to work as exclusive dealer of the European brand for the states of Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Tocantins, Goiás and Federal District. The contract involves specifically the distribution of equipment for the market of aggregates and construction and includes complete services of maintenance and parts supply.

The deal involves the Brazilian unit of Metso, which is part of a structure with 14,000 professionals (worldwide level) and is present in 50 countries. In the last year, the corporation had total revenue of 3.7 billion euros in net sales and an increase of 55 percent in service order sales.

Tracbel, in turn, has a structure that covers 70 percent of Brazilian territory and an accumulated experience of 47 years working in several markets, with highlight for aggregate industry, which is the focus of the deal. Company headquarters are located in Contagem (MG). Tracbel is dealer of leading brands such as Volvo Construction Equipment, Volvo Penta, Atlas Copco, Michelin, Massey Ferguson, SP Maskiner and Tigercat.

According to Marcelo Motti, CEO of Metso in Brazil, “the partnership with Tracbel gives us the opportunity of offering a better attendance for the aggregate market in the areas covered by the deal. Tracbel has means, skilled team and experience, what gives us the certainty of having chosen an excellent business partner for Metso and mainly for our clients”.

For Luiz Gustavo de Magalhães Pereira, president of Tracbel Group, the partnership comes to improve even more the product portfolio of the company. “We—members of the Tracbel Group—are sure that this will be a successful partnership.
