Congress makes a fair copy of the market

The ninth International Congress of Construction Equipment and seventh International Congress of Mining Equipment were carried out together with the M&T Expo 2015 from June 10 to 12. It included a program with 16 seminars, special events and courses involving more than 50 lecturers. Promoted by Sobratema and 15 partner institutions, the Congress was a space to debate the main issues that drive the market of equipment for construction and mining.

The Congress has the purpose of spread information, identify trends and promote an exchange of experiences between professionals, experts and industry companies. This year, approximately 1000 persons—national and international—took part in the several events carried out in the M&T Expo Congress. This public was composed by businessmen, engineers, experts, technicians and professionals of construction and mining companies, equipment manufacturers, rental companies, suppliers of spare parts, engines, undercarriage and components, as well as service renders. For Eurimilson Daniel, vice-president of Sobratema, the impressive quantity of participants highlights the role of M&T Expo in spreading technical and market knowledge and driving the exchange of experiences between the professionals of the area. “It was a unique opportunity to gather information about several relevant subjects related to the area, including trends and perspectives of the industry that certainly will support processes of decision in their companies”, says him.

Sobratema participated directly in three events of the Congress: the area of market intelligence presented the study Brazilian Market of Construction Equipment - Trends; Opus Institute carried out the seminar Load Handling – the Reality of the Professionals; and a partnership between Sobratema and Iopex – Institute for Operational Excellence Brasil made feasible the 2nd International Summit of Operational Excellence & Lean Construction.

In addition to Sobratema, the M&T Expo Congress gave space for several partner entities to discuss subjects pertinent to the growth and development of construction and mining industry. In this edition, the participating entities were: Abcic – Associação Brasileira da Construção Industrializada de Concreto, Abimaq – Associação Brasileira da Indústria de Máquinas e Equipamentos, Analoc – Associação Brasileira dos Sindicatos, Associações e Representantes dos Locadores de Equipamentos, Máquinas e Ferramentas, CBT – Comitê Brasileiro de Túneis and Sindipesa – Sindicato Nacional das Empresas de Transporte e Movimentação de Cargas Pesadas e Excepcionais.

The M&T Expo Congress had also the participation of BNDES – National Economic and Social Development Bank, which announced several lines of credit, DEC – Department of Engineering and Construction of Brazilian Army and the following companies: Atlas Copco, Brasil Mineral, Caimex, JLG, Solinftec and ZF do Brasil.
